Happy Valentine's Day/Galentine's Day, guys!
People have been asking me for weeks now, what T and I are doing for Valentine's Day.
Every single time I've responded, "Oh, I think just food and some Walking Dead," people have seem surprised, like we're not doing something more romantic.
So that got me thinking about past Valentine's Days, including three of my favorite Valentine's moments - most of which were not romantic!

The time I forgot my Valentine's Day cards in second grade... and my grandparents bailed me out.
So I ended up forgetting about Valentine's Day in second grade, and getting to school and realizing I had no cards for my classmates.
I called my grandparents sobbing, and they showed up in an hour with beautifully boxed cards, all signed with my name. It was at that moment that young me began to realize that Valentine's Day isn't just romantic, but also about love for other people in your life too.
The Valentine's Day I discovered North and South with my roommates, and had a literary-themed movie night.
Seriously, guys. Why wouldn't you want cute British actors reciting lines like, "Look back... look back at me," at you?
(High-fives if you know where this is from!)
Bonus - check out the trailer for Pride and Prejudice and the North & South ending below. Spoilerific, obviously!
The year that T bought me a giant bear.
I had fallen in love with a giant teddy bear at Target, but just didn't feel like we should be spending money on things we didn't need. However, T saw me eyeballing him, and the bear suddenly appeared behind my car during a Target trip.
It's quite possibly one of my favorite gifts that T's ever given me, and our bear has been a faithful pal ever since.
Lesson here? T is the best, and Valentine's Day doesn't have to involve expensive jewelry and/or dining.
