I was attending a trade show with a certain author friend who shall remain nameless - you know who you are, *wink* - and she cheerfully fought me for the arc. I willingly agreed, since I knew it was going to a good place. But fortunately for me, Quirk invited me to help spotlight the book!
Following up to the first book in the series, Warren tries to keep up with Aunt Annaconda, as she tries to look for the All-Seeing Eye, which might help her powers.
The book follows the same structure as the previous series, with snappy writing, cryptic clues, and illustrations that help push the story forward. The typography of the book and structure of the pages help set the tone of the story, and the rest of the book is a visual treat. The book moves quickly, and sets up to a wonderful conclusion that leads the room for more adventure.s
While Warren is a non-traditional hero, he's charming, quirky and will charm readers of any and all ages. Long story short: this book is fantastic.
