Happy Sunday, all!
Today, we're proud to join the blg tour for Marissa Meyer's Renegades.
I've been an appreciative fan of Marissa's writing since Cinder, and I absolutely believe that anyone who likes Marissa's writing in the past, will end up loving this rip-roaring adventure of heroism and betrayal.
So read on for more!
Expected publication: November 7th 2017 by Feiwel & Friends
Format read: ARC via publisher

The Renegades are a syndicate of prodigies—humans with extraordinary abilities—who emerged from the ruins of a crumbled society and established peace and order where chaos reigned. As champions of justice, they remain a symbol of hope and courage to everyone...except the villains they once overthrew.
Nova has a reason to hate the Renegades, and she is on a mission for vengeance. As she gets closer to her target, she meets Adrian, a Renegade boy who believes in justice—and in Nova. But Nova's allegiance is to a villain who has the power to end them both.
That's the question that Nova has to ask herself when her family is killed, and it's this dilemma that also sets up the central conflict for Renegades, Marissa Meyer's latest book. Because years after losing her family, the now sixteen-year-old Nova is still fixated on revenge. But as she puts her plans into action - with assists from other characters with their own motivations - she quickly realizes that turning want into deed, isn't easy.
Like her previous books, Meyer's Renegades is a novel to behold. There's elaborate world-building in this universe where super-powered humans are a thing to fear, and readers can't help but fall headfirst into Nova and Adrian's respective journeys, as they are drawn closer and closer together.
Without giving spoilers away, Meyer has a knack for sketching out battles that will make any comic book/MCU/DCEU fan rejoice, but also incorporates her usual trademark of also showing the human side of their struggles, as well.
While I was a little bemused by the powers - it seemed like a bit of a nod to her fairytale days - ultimately, this is a rip-roaring read.
Also: as a part of the tour, we were asked to decide if we were Renegades or Anarchists. I picked the Renegades since I like to stick with the acknowledged hero, but don't be surprised if you go the opposite direction...
Highly recommend, full stop.
