Ophelia and the Marvelous Boy by Karen Foxlee (Knopf)
One Man Guy by Michael Barakiva (Farrar, Straus and Giroux
I've been looking forward to Acid since meeting Emma on Twitter in 2012, and I can't wait to start reading this one. You guys already know that I think Ophelia and the Marvelous Boy is marvelous, and you have to read it ASAP.
(Psss - we're giving away a copy here!)
One Many Guy looks amazing, and I LOVE that cover.
Broken Hearts, Fences, and Other Things to Mend by Katie Finn (Feiwel and Friends)
The Break-Up Artist by Philip Segel (Harlequin Teen)
Looking forward to both of these!
How to Babysit a Grandma by Jean Reagan (Knopf)
A Gift for Mama by Linda Ravin Lodding (Knopf)
I was SUPER excited when Disney Hyperion said they were sending me a copy of Tesla's Attic, since I love Neal Shusterman's Unwind. Can't wait to see how he does w/ MG and Tesla!
The very, very cute children's books are from Nicole at Random House. I told her my idea about creating a blog series/modern reading list for parents at each level, and she agreed to let me see how these two books fit!
(Also, if you have any recommendations for children's books at different age levels, let me know!)
Minders by Michele Jaffe (Razorbill)
The Ring and the Crown by Melissa de la Cruz (Disney-Hyperion)
The Prince of Venice Beach by Blake Nelson (Little, Brown Book for Young Readers)
The School for Good and Evil #2: A World Without Princes by Soman Chainani (HarperCollins)
I can't stop staring at the five of these books lined up, because I've been dying to read all of them. *Admires the pretty some more*
What about you? Are you guys interested in any of these titles?
Kasie is amazing, and was doing twitter giveaways after she received her author copies. Was lucky enough to win one, and I can't wait to read this!
A Mad Wicked Folly by Sharon Biggs Waller (Viking Jvenile)
I have permanent, eternal love for Lemony Snicket, so this purchase was a no-brainer. I love Sharon, so same deal there.
However, we're also putting on a blog tour for her the first week of February, so PLEASE come back for that. :D
Special thanks to:
Everyone was so nice and so kind to us this week, I can't think you guys enough! :)
Let me know what you guys received this week! What are you glad about? Are you guys big dorks like I am, and just admire covers sometimes?
